SERVICES

I wear many hats

RECORDING

I've recorded countless interviews with CEOs, professors, hip hop magnates, journalists, big name actors, celebrity chefs, and more.

In addition to studio recording, I also enjoy fieldwork, tape syncs, and figuring out remote-recording options that work for you. Because of my attention to detail I've had more than my fair share of repeat customers: from the CBC to the Ringer.

STORY EDITING

I love helping people realize their creative goals. Whether you want story and scripting guidance all along the way, or you need to get your podcast pilot out of a rut, I'm here to help you hack your way through the weeds.  I deliver constructive feedback, with suggestions for how to better reach your intended goals.

ENGINEERING

I really get into the zone when it comes to putting a show together. Whether you need your show assembled, scored, sound designed, or even if you need audio repair help, I'm your guy.

Whichever DAW your show requires, I can do it - Pro-Tools, Reaper, Audition.
For audio repair I use iZotope RX - the industry standard.

RESEARCH

I have a wide variety of research experience: filing FOIA requests, sifting through police reports, translating academic research for lay audiences, and digging through archives and libraries for forgotten tape. I use a wide variety of methods for chasing as well, including social media and background checks.

I'm pretty thorough with fact-checking as well. When producing, I always try to document as I go.

WORKFLOW DESIGN

I'm very interested in process. Throughout the years, I designed different workflows, taking into account show and format needs, or how different roles might interact.

I've got plenty of tricks, but sometimes I'll dig into new technology. I like figuring out how to automate time-consuming tasks.

ORGANIZATION

Graphic communication was a pretty influential part of my time in grad school. You won't see loud colors or wanton bold font in my scripts. I also am into standardizing anything that won't limit the creative process - file names, timelines, tape inventories, etc. That way, nothing slips through the cracks!

Whether it is implementing client notes, progress updates, realizing visions, enforcing client standards, or just keeping things professional, I've had plenty of experience being on the client-facing side of media projects

There's the creative side, but then there's everything else - and somehow you need to pay for it. I'm experienced in creating and overseeing budgets for shows. That also means negotiating with contractors and vendors and understanding the industry's rate standards

Great podcasts don't make themselves, and often it is more than a one-man operation. I have experience hiring and supervising teams. I know how to assess a project's needs and find the right people for the job. This also involves being able to make production schedules and keep the team on track
